Plastics parts manufacturing plant in Mocksville to close; layoffs coming | WRAL TechWire

CHARLOTTE – Plastic parts manufacturer Carolina Precision Plastics plans to close its Mocksville plant in 2024 and lay off 52 workers, according to a filing with the NC Department of Commerce. Plastic Pallet Load Capacity

The closing will occur on April 30, and none of the employees are represented by a union.

The layoffs include 33 machine operators, five process technicians, three maintenance technicians and a general manager, according to the filing.

Carolina Precision Plastics, also known as CPP Global, was acquired in 2021 by Las Vegas-based Westfall Technik for an undisclosed price.

CPP Global also has a plant in Asheboro, North Carolina, as well in Kaiping, China, in Guangdong province. It runs about 100 injection molding machines in its three facilities.
